Do employers care if you have a GED diploma rather than a highschool diploma?

Hi, I'm 16 and I'm a sophomore in highschool at the moment. I've been doing virtual classes ever since the pandemic started and I'm not doing too good my 10th grade year. There's too much work that I could care less to do, this resulted into me having a trainwreck of failed classes, with some exceptions. Most likely I'll be forced to repeat the 10th grade again, unless for some reason there's a chance I can do summer school, which I doubt. It's like a month and a half before summer break starts for me, and there's no way I'm making up the shit grades I have gotten all year just for doing assignments for the 4th quarter. On the high chance I do have to repeat the 10th grade, I'm dropping out of highschool. I plan on working part time to support my family and to save up money for me later in life. With all that being said, once I do eventually get my GED when I'm 18, am I still on par with other people who have regular highschool diplomas? Do employers show any bias towards those who do have a regular highschool diploma rather than a GED?
