No one ever prepares you for how sick you will be your first year of being in a school.

My first year teaching I got COVID the second week of school. Fast forward to today and I’ve been sick with two stomach bugs and a respiratory issue and it hasn’t been but 8 months. My immune system isn’t built for this. I haven’t been sick like this in over 5 years prior to teaching. Any tips? You can’t plan to be sick, yet I scramble while sitting next to my toilet trying to piece together a sub plan that I was unprepared for. Words of encouragement are welcome too please. I feel like the worst new employee addition to my school.
