I’m 24. I went to the same school district my entire life and graduation from a high school that had an above average curriculum in my county. I didn’t do too well in school, but managed to get into just one AP class my senior year. After high school, I didn’t go to college right away, but I worked to save money, buy a car and eventually afford a community college. But while I was out of school, I still felt like I was smarter than the average person I’d come across, for the most part. Then I went to college. I am about to graduate with a degree based in science but focused on something specific. After all this time in college, I now realize how much I really didn’t know. Even my gen ed courses taught me so much about everyday life, and has made me a more well rounded, well spoken individual. People really put down the classes that have “no relevancy” to their field of study, but some of them truly helped me just think BETTER. Any thoughts?
