Need advice for Master degree from unrelated bachelor degree (Child education/development vs Literature)

I recently graduated with a BA in Literature and would like to pursue an M.Ed in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. But since my BA is completely unrelated to the M.Ed I don't know what would be the best steps for me to take?

I was thinking of taking online courses in Edx to increase my knowledge and get certifications then apply for an M.Ed or M.S or something in Early Childhood Education but I don't know if they will actually be considered useful or just a waste of money? Or what other options should I look for? Any advice is appreciated, thank you.
