CCIR research mentorship program worth it?

I am planning to attend the CCIR one-on-one research program and I was thinking about whether it is worth it. It is very expensive prob 3-4k $ but I really want to do research on Economics and I was trying to find opportunities. Please let me know if you have done the program or know anything more.
