This may just be a rant, but throughout my K-12 education I always strived to get straight A's or at least A's/B's, basically a teacher's pet. Now, however, I feel like it was all for nothing and I didn't get much out of it besides stress and pressure. A lot of my friends and acquaintances who ditched class back in middle/high school cared way less about their grades, got D's and F's, but still went on to have good careers or transfer to top ranking colleges, and they were always the ones who boasted that school and grades were meaningless. It feels a little sad and disheartening. Like, what is the point of grades and trying to get an A? Maybe those people were right. Thank you for reading.
