Hello teachers.
I'm a recent graduated teacher and I'll have to substitute the sciences teacher for the next two weeks. Thing is, my students (ages between 11 and 15 years old) are very loud the entire class and I don't know how to make them shut up/ask them to be quiet in more effective ways...
Everytime I start the class, they are very noisy and I have to stand infront of the board SCREAMING for them to pay attention on me. That attention/silent moment usually lasts for 2-5minutes and them they interrupt me and start to talk loud and make noise all again...
I think they dont respect me for being new and also for being substituting, but I need a more effective way to control their noise. Other than having to scream louder the entire fcking class...
Just for the record: I don't tell to shup up or be quiet. All I do is literally stay in front of them and call for their attention like "GUYS!!!! OVER HERE!!!! LOOK HERE!!!! GUYS!!!!! I NEED YOU GUYS TO HEAR ME"... but it doesn't work.
Any ideias?
