I think back to my Trig teacher Mr. Bruce Ritter in 1987. Specifically, he asked “What do you have to know to graduate 8th grade?” He went on to explain that kids came into high school not even knowing how to work with fractions and decimals. My question to you is, what knowledge and skills do YOU think a person needs to demonstrate in order to graduate 8th or 12th grade? I have several ideas already, but I’d like to see your suggestions before I share mine.
