How would you go about graduating high school years early?

Obviously it would require planning before high school, right?

I read someone took summer classes all the time, but how do you plan for that? What classes do you take? How do schools keep track of where you’re at and how much you have left to graduate if say you’re starting at 6th-8th grade?
