IT department at public schools

Hello,

I am a teacher from Spain and we have a big push to increase the presence of technology in our classes.

I like it and I am in charge of that part of my school. But the lack of knowledge of other teachers and different problems make it really hard.

Recently, we had a lot of money coming from Europe to pay for many devices but without resources to implement them or to do maintenance of them.

I wonder how this is organised in other countries, mainly European but any country would work.

TLDR: Do you have an IT department in your school? Is it public or private? Where is it located? How this implementation of new devices is coordinated? Any information you could give me about it?
