Full disclosure, I'm a complete noob when it comes to education. If the answer to my question seems obvious, I'm sorry, but I didn't know where else to ask.
I've been watching videos in regard to "higher order learning" recently, and a central part seems to be relating ideas or "units" of knowledge with each other. I have two questions.
- What classes of relation does our mind form? Some obvious ones seem to be categorization, and cause and effect, but it'd be great if someone could give me a rundown, so I can make sure I'm not missing any important ones.
- How are these forms of relations benefitial to us?
