Does it matter where I do my undergrad?

I’ve gotten two offers of admission, one from the University of Toronto and the other from the university of Alberta.

The university of Toronto is ranked much higher but it’ll cost me more than double compared to the other university.

Does it matter where I go? It is worth the extra money to go to a more recognised institution?
