Tax breaks for teacher PPE?! Too little, too late.

Hi everyone! I have been fuming over this article, and wanted to reach out to see if anyone else is in the same boat:

Obviously glad teachers are getting something, but it is completely unacceptable that teachers ever had to pay for this stuff on their own in the first place.

I mean, it was bad enough when teachers were paying for their own pencils and crayons, but now paying for their own life-saving equipment?! Seriously?!

I am TIRED of the chronic underfunding of education.

I am TIRED of the expectation for teachers to be martyrs.

I am SICK that the government threw teachers into a dangerous situation without a plan and without funding, then waaaaayyy after the fact decided to try and throw a little bone with a tax break. It's too little too late.

It just doesn't have to be this way. It really, really doesn't.

Eager to hear others' thoughts. I'm just livid.
