Yes this is a repost from r/college
So I had taken Anatomy/Physiology 1 (BIO-13) and have top registration priority for next semester. So pretty much in order to take this Anatomy/Physiology 2 combined class (BIO-14) which is offered at my college, I have to had taken a basic Chem class. However, I had taken General Chemistry 1A/1B (the chem classes before O.C) and got A's in both. However again... I had to make a petition to override the Prerequisite for BIO-14 because I had just switched to a RN from a bio major. The petition takes roughly 10 business days and it's awful to hear that cause I did not know I needed to petition the class till now and the BIO-14 class has a total capacity of 132 students for fall and I feel unlikely I am going to get in. Pretty much I just need this BIO-14 class and BIO-15 (Microbiology) to apply for nursing programs and fear I am unable to get into the BIO-14 class.
I seriously feel like shit cause I worked so hard for that priority and to get behind just a semester likely had ruined my hopes, can anyone advise me if I am still good to apply for nursing programs (RN) in Spring 2023 for California schools like CSU or community colleges?? I am most likely done in Fall 2022 for both courses if I am unable to get into the class next fall.
The explanation for all this is because I have been bullied and been into a lot of shit in this town and I suffer through trauma and depression pretty much everyday and still living where I am right now does not help at all, I have no friends here and really only people I talk to would be at work. So I am trying to transfer as fast as I can whether if I have to continue somewhere else or not, I just want clarity of all this. My counselors take forever to respond and it's really not helping me.
