Plans for switching schools midyear

So I'll keep this short. We're building a new house in another state and we found out today that due to delays, we are looking at around October to move in.

We have three kids in elementary school. Two of them are doing home school now (covid), and #3 will be starting kindergarten in the fall.

If you were going to move several months into the school year but in a different state, what would you do for your kids? Homeschool in original state? Go to local school here until the move? Try to see if we can homeschool via a program in the new state (is that even possible?). We obviously aren't renting in our new state until the close for cost reasons.

Just wondering what others are thinking and/or have done in this situation. What's best for the kids emotionally and educationally? They are great students so we're not worried about them being unable to catch up on the course work or anything, but also want to make this easy on them. Especially our youngest, who would have to start 2 schools in less than 3 months.
