In California, there is a high correlation to the percentage of Hispanic students to standardized school tests and ranking.

The higher percentage of Hispanic students, the lower the tests and school ranking.

I’m doing a study and a thesis paper on understanding this phenomenon and identifying solutions our schools and communities can take to fix it (if it is a problem to be fixed).

Those in the educational sector, would love you thoughts on this topic. And those of Hispanic background, are there reasons that the general public may be unaware of that may contribute to this data? Cultural values? Socioeconomic issues?
