What happens after I sign my leaver’s paperwork? (UK)

Sorry if this is the wrong subreddit for this but I was hoping someone with a better understanding of the UK college system could help me out.

For context I (17f) want to change courses from my town’s local sixth form college to a specialist agricultural college. I’ve been accepted onto the new course and all my paperwork has gone through, meaning all that’s left to do now is sign my leaver’s forms. However, the new course doesn’t start until September 2021 and it’s not even May yet so I don’t know what the protocol is in terms of when I can stop attending my current courses. Most of my lessons at the moment are doing mini assessments working towards A-Levels that I won’t be doing in 2022, so can I just stop going in now?

[TL;DR] starting a new college course in September, once my paperwork is signed can I stop attending my current college or do I have to wait till the end of the year?
