Help me find this system for teaching children how to read?

Sorry if wrong sub.

This is one of those internet-white-whales for me. I remember a downloadable deck of flashcards for teaching kids to read at a young age. There was an essay/blog describing how this guy taught his kid, plus his teaching materials all downloadable. I have a funny feeling it was on some tech industry guy's personal website, maybe a Microsoft boss.

Sorry this is kinda vague. Anyone remember this?
