The structure and efficiency of Student Unions... What's your take?

Would love to hear your takes on the structure and efficiency of your SU!

Some background on me:

I'm after an honestly pretty horrible year of being head of PR at my local student union and now on the board of directors. At the beginning of the year, a company that provides corporate task management and automation software (Monday.com) offered us their services free of charge, and being a compsci major I took the opportunity to create a couple of systems for us, eventually, I developed even more and shared the systems out to 20+ unions nationally.

I'm now working on translating the system and sharing it with unions globally, but from the preliminary research I've done, it seems that the structure of student unions changes from country to country but that generally, people consider them to be in-efficient and useless.

If anyone would like to explain to me their SU structure, or if they have any contacts they want to send my way (I can offer them the systems I've built for free :) ) that would be greatly appreciated!

For the record I'm not an affiliate of Monday.com in any way, Monday.com has been giving out this service to student unions for free and I'm doing this without any profit motivs just looking to do some good
