A bit confused about the college transfer process (Michigan)

I am going to have a total of 60 credits at my community college next semester, and my college emailed me informing me that I should be applying to graduate now with an Associate in Science and Arts degree.

I am currently enrolled to attend a university in autumn of 2022. I am planning on going for a major in either Modern Languages or Environmental Science.

I am a bit confused, however, as I have often been told by friends that I should be transferring my credits and not my degree.

Should I be applying to graduate, and then transferring my degree to this university - or do I not graduate, and transfer my 60 credits over? I often hear talk of the Michigan Transfer Agreeement, but I am confused.

Thank you!
