Hello,
Not sure if this is appropriate for here. If not, please feel free to redirect me elsewhere.
I should've graduated high school in 2001 but did not. Lots of home problems during high school years undiagnosed/treated ADHD. Being fair, in some subjects I probably have a 9th grade education. I got my GED in 2009 in NY (which, for me at the time, was not difficult) and built a career, and then my own small business.
I've come to a point where I have time and some money and want to continue my education. I live in Oregon now and I'm hoping to begin by completing 2 years online with one of the state's community colleges.
It seems I'll certainly be asked to take the ALEKS placement test for Math.
I've taken a peek at a few random practice quizzes. There's stuff I don't remember precisely (but could find easily) and stuff I simply have never been exposed to. Compare this to purchasing a GED test prep book in 2009, I was able to breeze through the test exams, and the actually test, and didn't need to refer to the guide whatsoever, so the bar was far lower.
What would be a good way to walk myself through some high school level math education? Is there a recommended website? Free is good but I'll pay if necessary. I do better with reading than videos. A preferred guide book could work. Hopefully with practice questions and some tests.
Thank you!
