They didn't do the final. Never makes sense to me.

Just a vent about how you can't want it more than they do.

I taught 2 courses this semester, and in the beginning, I always happily shed the students who don't belong. I do this by giving the 1st test with a 2-week window to complete it (I post it online, and the next class period is the "test day," but they can complete it before the next section lecture begins.

As always, 1-3 students don't do it, and I encourage them to get to the office for a full refund before it's too late.

We started with XX students and now we have XY. 3 of my students did not take the final or message me, and part of me wants to say hey, I'll extend the test date; just get it done, but that would be very unfair to the students who have done everything on time.
