Pros/cons of moving from Elementary (k-5) teacher to junior high (8-9) admin position??

I'm looking for perspective on working at the Junior High level. I've taught at the elementary level for 15+ years and recently earned my masters for administration - ideally at the elementary level. However, there aren't currently admin openings at the elementary level, but there is a spot a nearby junior high I could go for. With very limited experience at this level, I'm curious to hear what anyone with experience might suggest. Has anyone made the move from Elem. to junior high (teacher or admin)? If so, how was that transition? Are you happy? Surprises? Things you love? Things you hate? Do you miss elementary?

I'm looking for a better life/Work balance and I'm a little worried this might add more stress and demand more time, especially when you add in attending sporting and extracurricular activities.
