My mind obsesses constantly over ways to better the education system, here's an idea that's been lingering in my noggin about early start times. Problem and a probable solution. Thoughts?

I worked in a school (k-8) briefly where they began the day at 7 am. To say the least it was hectic. I asked why the day started so early and it's because the majority of the parents have factory jobs that begin at 7 am... Dudes... as a mom, I get it!!! But school should serve the kids education, first and foremost. And sleep? Absolutely fundamental! I thought about how it'd be perfect to have every grade start a crop (I think it's crucial we start enforcing teaching kids to grow their own food) and have a 0 hour, so to speak, where kids can go in at 7 am but with that they can be put to work with garden care and even go as far as making fresh fruit juice (thinking of a fairly small school) for breakfast. Just a big jug per class ya know? (Also, intaking a GOOD, natural breakfast for ample learning). Sleep, healthy foods and hands on something important that can be integrated in the real world at any age.
