Howard University's removal of classics is a spiritual catastrophe | Cornel West & Jeremy Tate

Howard University has decided to close its classics department (the only HBCU classics department) which has been part of the institution since its inception.

West and Tate briefly opine the importance of classics in Black education and lament the trend in schooling toward utility rather than 'soul-forming education'.
