Hello for passing by, I just wanted to ask a question about general mathematical education in the pandemic times, this includes every field consist some form of mathematical education in it such as engineering, social sciences, positive sciences etc.
What are your opinions about mathematical education in the form of just verbally? Let me expand it a little bit if you are confused: The education staff are going to read the equations from solved examples and will explain the equations but will not do any calculations themselves.
Do you think this is okay? Will students be able to understand how to apply the topics they learned in the class to the examples when they try to solve them themselves and is this anyway, shape or form useful comparing to personnel to show how to make solutions from nothing but with an empty whiteboard and a marker?
