Academic Misconduct because I told my classmates I contracted Covid, what can I do?

I was told by Public Health to contact my classmates whom I was in close contact with and to contact public health. I provided my public health nurse's name and number as I was told. I provided public health my instructors name etc as well, but I just got an Academic Misconduct warning and I may be expelled just weeks before my graduation date. Apparently it's against school policy, but we were never informed of this policy. What can I do?
