I'm putting together some lessons on the Homestead Act and Immigration, specifically focused on Nebraska. I want to have students analyze some data and draw some conclusions on who came from where, so I'm wondering if anybody has any thoughts on where I could find any official data/numbers on immigration into the US after 1865. Bonus points if I can pick out Nebraska numbers specifically or if I can present them with a primary source.
