University for international students?

Hello, Im currently having an internal fight with myself. I want to pursue arts and communication but my parents dont really approve and want me to enroll in english philology. I was hoping to get some guidance... I want to study abroad but its so expensive and I was wondering how does the international scholarshipwork? /I am from a small country in Europe/
