Hoshould I contact my teachers a week, two days, or a day before I leave early?

I’m going to be leaving early from school this Friday, the 17th around 10am, so during 1st or 2nd period.

My dog and I made state team at our county 4-H Dog Project fair, and due to some circumstances (my dog is a very anxious dog and was already so anxious at county), I’ve decided to not participate in state with her, but I’ll still be going with my mom to watch and support the other members of our state team.

Anyways, my mom was going to email them tomorrow (Monday). When should I email my teachers?
