Should students have the option to finish their diploma in the form of an Associate's degree?

Thinking about it in hindsight, Junior and Senior year is when most AP classes start getting offered (which are notoriously harder than real college classes depending on where you go). I feel like it would just make more sense to allow qualified students to be offered the option to enroll in an Associate's program their Junior/Senior year. It would either be inside the high school or at a local community college.
