Why do some people devalue another person's education? I'll explain mine, seeking feedback USA

I went to private school to 12th grade, graduated from one private college with a finance degree and another private school with a masters in education. I'm not a teacher and dont want to teach

I'm homeless and have been due to job push out at middle age, and for having reported fraud in Corporate.

I lived with a roomate before, who lost his job, and moved out. I was stuck paying $6,000 for the remainder of the rent.

I cant take that risk anymore.

I live on a tight budget. A car is necessary in the South, at least for me.

Welfare and social services dont have anything for single adults without children. I am very well versed in insurance and state State Govt services. SNAP benefits dont pay for nonfood items, gas, insurance, car repairs, storage unit, phone etc..

My unemployment is running out in two months.

Low wages that dont cover housing, car, health, dental and vision wont work. But why focus only on low wages.

Because that is what people suggest. I need work that covers housing, car, health, dental, vision insurance premiums and the cost to use those benefits

Younger people are getting the higher paying Corp jobs. They want some of us middle aged people to work cashiering and fast food jobs.

I'm not hyper and cant work barista, server, bartender jobs. I'm an introvert and need thinking work.

I need $3500 net to live to cover housing, car, health, dental, vision, bills, grad loan monthly pmts which has to be paid and not deferred. People mention IBR plans as though debt doesnt have to be paid. It still does regardless

What do I do when people dismiss my knowledge and education and tell me to work entry level at over 45 years of age?

I worked in multiple industries in the past. Insurance, banking, human resources. Employers arent racing to hire people over 45. I need a living wage. I can work up to 50 hrs a week.

All the money invested in my education to end up homeless makes no sense. I tried applying for State Govt jobs. They pay less than my earnings from the 90s.

Housing and healthcare are the biggest expenses. I'm not from here and cant move. Roommates arent an option that risk isnt worth it.

I've always lived on my own since college. Never married.

The people that own/run Corporations are my age. The Corporate leaders wont speak with me. I have to speak only with junior recruiters who tell me i have to start at entry level, $35,000 a year job. That wouldnt cover my basic bills and the cost to use dental (i need 2 crowns), healthcare, vision, housing, car, debt.

Work at that pay rate is for warehouse and call centers; micromanaged work places that require me to produce a doctors note if I need to use the bathroom on nonbreak times.

I can do recruiting and HR work but I cant get hired. I need office work. I need a living wage. All the money invested in my education and here I am.
